
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born May 25, 1994. She is a retired American artist gymnast. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, which took home their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London, she won gold medals in the team and floor competitions, along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, which made her the most accomplished American gymnast to compete at the Games. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she received a gold medal at the team event which made her and teammates Gabby Douglas and Gabby Douglas the only Americans with back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman was also awarded silver in the individual all around and for floor exercise. Raisman also received silver medals for the individual all-around , as well as in floor exercise. She is also two-time champion of the national team on floor exercise (2012 and 2015) she was the 2012 national champion on the balance beam and five times a medalist in the all-around event at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
